All about the food

Little history.

Sushi has a long and fascinating history. Its origins can be traced back to ancient times in Southeast Asia, where people used fermentation techniques to preserve fish by packing it with rice and salt. This method of preserving fish eventually made its way to Japan, where it evolved into sushi as we know it today.

In the 19th century, sushi gained popularity in Tokyo with the rise of Edomae-zushi, a type of street food sushi. It involved placing a piece of raw or cooked fish on top of a small mound of seasoned rice. It quickly became a convenient and delicious meal option for busy workers and travelers.

Today, sushi has become a global phenomenon, enjoyed by people from all walks of life. It has evolved to include various styles and ingredients, such as maki rolls, sashimi, and fusion variations. Sushi continues to captivate food lovers with its fresh flavors, artistic presentation, and cultural significance.
